GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Our four years at Northside have been excellent. The diversity of students and teachers provides a laid back culture that takes the pressure off of some of the social challenges students typically face. Teachers are supportive and engaged in the students, athletics are inclusive and engaging for all students and as the oldest high school in our town the facility is well maintained and updated.

I wish the on level curriculum was harder because there is too big of a gap between AP and on level courses. There's also way too many people who misbehave because no teacher or administrator corrects it. I'm specifically talking about the crowds of girls who go to the bathroom just to smoke. It does not feel like a very safe space.

There's nothing wrong with Northside. It's the best high school anyone could ever go to. The teachers and coaches care about you. They prepare and ask you how's life going and how to get setup for college. They are the ones who got me to look for scholarships.

Northside offers a level of cultural exposure that you won't find at Southside, despite the inevitable issues you get wi...
