Fort Wayne's Lakeside Middle School is part of Fort Wayne Community Schools, the largest public school system in Indiana.
Serving Bloomingdale, Brentwood and Forest Park elementary schools, students at Lakeside Middle School go on to attend North Side High School.
Established in 1959, Lakeside Middle School enrolls approximately 500 sixth through eighth grade students. Supplementing the school’s strong scholastic curriculum with athletic opportunities, Lakeside's blue-and-gold Lancers compete in cross country, soccer, football, volleyball, basketball and track. Supporting the arts with enriching extracurricular activities, Lakeside Middle School also invites students to join show choir or dance to develop their talents and explore their personal passions and interests. Other student groups include clubs for gaming, gardening, Spanish, Pokemon and journalism.

I am a parent and this school has been an overall great experience for us. The teachers are kind and care a lot about the students. They also deliver top quality lessons and have high expectations. I am so happy we decided on the neighborhood school!

I think the teachers are amazing. i have a special needs student and they are so supportive of her and our family. However i do agree with the other parent about the trouble makers and i feel sometimes that for a middle school it has a huge criminal element to it. I don't know what the solution is,...
