GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've had a pretty good time at Terrell, but I have had a couple of problems over the years. The main issue I've faced is the lack of disciplinary action that has been taken in certain situations. There are students that have displayed very inappropriate behavior and were only given 3 day suspension max when they should really be expelled for the safety of everyone in the school.

I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA is an amazing school with their numerous classes that helps expand the mind while also testing our knowledge. I will say that some of the downfalls is that lack of STEM classes and STEM based events as the school leans more towards the VPA department. A change I would love to see is STEM based events that deals with art so everyone could join and be inclusive.

One of my best parts of this school is the teachers are super helpful and help with everything in detail. The worst part is probably the cafeteria food, but that's not that big of a deal.
