GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My overall experience at Franklin High School has been good. I have loved the activities available for our school and community. I have also loved the sports I've played here but one thing that is a challenge are the lack of AP classes. I wish we had more opportunities when it comes to classes.

My experience at Franklin highschool has been pretty good the past 4 years, I have played volleyball all those four years so I have been a student athlete here. The teachers are very understanding about it and do give you the work ahead of time to finish before the deadline. It is very safe also, there has never been a threat or feeling of being unsafe while I have attended FHS. Although I would change the look of our school. It is very old and the water pipes are old causing the water to be not so great. But over Franklin highschool is a very great school to attend.

More centered on sports than academics. Administration doesn't really care about students going to college except for one counselor and the college advisor on campus. Not a very pleasant environment. It feels like a prison. Some teachers are great, and others probably shouldn't be a teacher. The food is always cold, and therefore is disgusting and no one wants to eat it except for those who are truly hungry and have no other choice. I'm just ready to be out of that place.

I wouldn't have graduated high school if the teachers and Mr. SHIELDS hadn't been there to help.

Newer principal working with the community to assure the school and town have a shared goal. Great track, football and basket ball coaches and teams.
