The Garfield Heights High School Bulldogs are guided to be socially and emotionally aware leaders equipped with real-world skills and career-prepared. Students can participate in athletics, including cross country, football, soccer, golf, volleyball, basketball, bowling, hockey, wrestling, baseball, softball, tennis and track. Other activities include academic challenge, anime club, band, theater, Students of Promise, Key Club and student government. Garfield Heights students are recognized beyond the school walls for their achievements, like being featured in the Youth Art Gallery at Cleveland International Airport. Several academic opportunities are available to Bulldogs, including 22 honors courses and four Advanced Placement courses. GHHS students can take advantage of College Credit Plus, which enables dual enrollment in college-level classes for credit at the high school and college levels. Many students enroll in career and technical training at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center. These students complete their high school education while gaining specialized knowledge and experience in one of 29 different programs. GHHS Seniors in good academic standing can opt to participate in the Senior Project, where they engage in 25 hours of on-site community service or job shadowing and present their experience to their peers.

The area isn't too safe including the school, but those that try their best to succeed, will. Good teacher although many are quitting because of the students, the fights, and the unwillingness to learn. Not a totally bad school though, good event and such just lots of fights.

It's really good. The performing arts programs such as drama or music express is really good and the competitions and productions have been amazing. The teachers also are really good when it comes to education

Garfield Heights High School was good overall. Something's that I would say need to be improved on is student morale. Since half the time, students already don't want to be there, giving them things to do, so one attendance is good and two so they don't resort to making something to do for themselves like fighting.

Terrible school they have kids with guns come they fight almost every day their system is messed up on how they discipline students and bullying is tolerated there they said it’s not the teacher job to help students that get in altercations it’s the security job! The teachers are protected and the k...

Before I came to this school I failed every class now i'm passing every class. The teachers here are awesome you can always ask for help when needed they're caring, funny , and they know how to cheer you up when you're feeling down! :)

The school board along with the schools are only interested in school prosperity! The most used term used in the schools are children and levy... Children are only important if the levies are passed...

Affordable community. Much of a students success depends on parenting at home in addition to quality education... the quality education is there...
