William H. Bradfield Elementary School is a Garland Independent School District public school. The school serves prekindergarten through fifth grade students. The campus is located off Bucknell Drive in Garland. Bradfield Elementary has Dual Language classes and is an Advancement Via Individual Determination campus.
Bradfield Elementary was built in 1966 and has undergone several renovations to expand and update the school. The most recent renovation was in 2006. The school’s namesake, William Bradfield, was the Mayor of Garland from 1956 to 1958. He also served as a school trustee and was a member of the Rotary Club.
Students at Bradfield Elementary learn curriculum based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards. They also receive fine arts education through art and music classes. The students at Bradfield Elementary enjoy participating in academic activities and extracurricular programs.
Fourth and fifth grade students get to deliver the morning announcements and experience what it would be like to work for a real life news station. There are many other career focused activities available to students throughout the school year as part of the school’s aim to develop college and career ready students.
The school mascot is the Cowboys, and the colors are blue and yellow. Bradfield Elementary has a standardized dress policy. Students are encouraged to wear their spirit shirts on designated days to show their school spirit.

My child has been coming to Bradfield since she was in pre-k I cannot say enough good things about the school over all! The teachers are passionate about what they do, they go above and beyond to bring the students the best education they can. My child has shown a huge improvement in her grades.
