Guy H. Bullock Elementary School is a Garland Independent School District public school. The school serves prekindergarten through fifth grade students. The school is located off Edgewood Drive in Garland. Bullock Elementary is an Advancement Via Individual Determination campus, which means students learn foundational organizational and academic strategies. Bullock Elementary has undergone multiple renovations since its original construction in 1962. The most recent renovation, in 2009, added a third wing to the school. The renovations also added a new science lab and library. The school offers full day prekindergarten and kindergarten classes. There are also Bilingual and English as Second Language classes for students in prekindergarten through fifth grades. The school also has two Learning in a Functional Environment classes for special education students. Students at Bullock Elementary can participate in various art classes and enjoy educational activities throughout the school year, like Career Day and the Book Fair. The school offers music classes and has an Honor Choir for fourth and fifth grade students. The school mascot is the Bullock Bears, and the colors are royal blue and white. While Bullock Elementary has a standardized dress policy, students are encouraged to wear their spirit shirts on designated days to show their school spirit.
