Sussex central is a great school to attend regarding academics and school spirit. Love going to the sporting events. I participate in IB program to help further my education; not all Delaware schools offer it like SCHS. They can use some help with the administration staff and teachers sometimes it's a struggle getting the help you need to be successful in you classes.

I genuinely like this school and I have enjoyed my time here. Majority of the staff is friendly as long as you treat them with respect (which should be a given). Some staff members such as admin and hall monitors never seem to have a nice thing to say which can be frustrating. Overall, if you get involved with extracurriculars and get to know your teachers, you will have a good time.

The worst part of it was that I feel no teachers or anyone prepares you for the real world or college, which isn't great because then you're just thrown in the deep end. The best parts were actually being involved, like joining clubs and sports as well as attending football games or prom. One thing I would like to see change would be the size of the school which fortunately for the upcoming classes they are building a bigger school.

My experience at this school has been okay. Some of the teachers are unneccesarliy ridiculous however, enforcing the rules for some students while not enforcing the rules for other students based off of race.

Sussex Central is a diverse community of learners. Teachers truly believe all students can learn.
