On a comprehensive campus that stretches back a half-mile from Guadalupe Road, Highland High fills its halls with more than 3,000 students in ninth through twelfth grades as the largest high school in the Gilbert Public Schools District. At the home of the Hawks, the faculty take pride in the unique breadth of educational offerings for their students. For starters, Highland hosts a renowned AP Capstone program where students can research a particular area of interest in order to solve a specific problem in the community. To prepare students for life after graduation, the school oversees a robust career and technical education program where students can pursue interests in agriscience, culinary arts, fashion, marketing, sports medicine and a range of other disciplines. If those specialties weren’t enough, the number of extracurriculars is astounding for a high school. A few of these extracurricular opportunities include broadcasting, dance, robotics, Model UN and more than 50 others. Highland High also is home to one of the top athletics programs in the state, with top notch facilities on campus including a football stadium, 10 tennis courts, eight basketball courts and several ball fields. Aspiring Hawks can compete in more than a dozen sports from football to swimming and diving. With all the opportunities in and out of class from games on the field to holiday concerts, any student can find an opportunity to soar at Highland High.

As a recent graduate, Highland High school has a great sense of community. My teachers were amazing and always willing to help with both personal and academic issues.

Highland high school especially 9th grade biology is a online school . The teachers don't teach . They pull hhmi videos of teachers teaching . Then the kids have to figure it out . Labs all online . Bunch of online work . Kids are lost have homework don't know what to do . Many fail test . Then can't retake because not all the assignments were in . Keep in mind the assignments given they are left to watching other teachers teach on their chrome books. The administration has no clue what one teacher to the next is teaching . Teachers just pull from the internet and the kids are glued to th ur chrome books . Online school curriculum from your house is better organized and teaches better !! Pls do not send your child here unless they can teach themselves from the internet . All the kids failing test nit inece does the administration go in ti see what the heck is going on . Send them to canyon HS .

First, everyone there had multiple kids failing a math or science. Highland has had a teacher quit in math or science every year mid semester on my kid. No matte...

The soccer teams, the physics department (the science department in general) and the FFA department are all place...
