On a comprehensive campus that stretches back a half-mile from Guadalupe Road, Highland High fills its halls with more than 3,000 students in ninth through twelfth grades as the largest high school in the Gilbert Public Schools District. At the home of the Hawks, the faculty take pride in the unique breadth of educational offerings for their students. To prepare students for life after graduation, the school oversees a robust career and technical education program where students can pursue interests in agriscience, culinary arts, fashion, marketing, sports medicine and a range of other disciplines. If those specialties weren’t enough, the number of extracurriculars is astounding for a high school. A few of these extracurricular opportunities include broadcasting, dance, robotics, Model UN and more than 50 others. Highland High also is home to one of the top athletics programs in the state, with top notch facilities on campus including a football stadium, 10 tennis courts, eight basketball courts and several ball fields. Aspiring Hawks can compete in more than a dozen sports from football to swimming and diving. I love Highland High School. It is a large school, so there are so many amazing people to meet and friends to make. The best part of Highland is the music program - the bands, orchestras, and choirs are very high-level and are so much fun to be a part of. The theatre and art departments are also very professional and exciting. Some of the core-subject teachers aren't always the best at meeting their students' needs, though, so I would like them to begin meeting students where they are to ensure they learn as best as they can.

I attended Highland high school for four years and graduated in may 2024. I really enjoyed the social aspect of the school. It was very inviting and made me feel like I got such a great high school experience. I was on the cheer team at this school which greatly contributed to my experience there. I would not trade those four years for anything!

I recently went to lunch with a large group of women who had children at highland. We all had the same concerns. I thought it was my kids. First, everyone there had multiple kids failing a math or science. Highland has had a teacher quit in math or science every year mid semester on my kid. No matte...

The soccer teams, the physics department (the science department in general) and the FFA department are all place...
