Gilchrist Is a very safe school. Probably because it only has about 60 students attending this year (2013). We have a school based health center available just next door so we have access to healthcare. There is no need for special security measures because we live in such a remote area.

I work for Gilchrist schools and I am very proud of our school. The teachers are devoted, caring, and helpful. The kids are great and we live in a great community. Our principal cares so much for his employees and the children. Our new head maintenance employee has the school looking the best it has...

I am very surprised by Gilchrist. I came there having very low expectations. We came from a much larger school district, but I actually LOVE it here! My high school child cannot skip classes (There is no where to go!) This year past year they actually scored "Outstanding" on the Oregon State School...
