The coursework is quite rigorous and the community is small, but if you are comfortable with asking for help and learning how to adapt then I highly recommend

Its a small school, capped at 300 students, but it doesn't feel small when it's on the Gavilan College Campus. Taking the college classes is made really easy through dual enrollment, and the classes aren't hard enough to scare you. The teachers are mostly great, and the support systems for students are even better.

In the beginning, it was hard to get used to the rigorous coursework, but overall it was an amazing opportunity to be able to go to this school. It has provided me with the skills I need to further my education and prepare me for college as well as in the stresses of daily life. Classes like AcaPrep were a great help in aiding in my expansion of knowledge of skills. We learned about taxes and did research on potential colleges we might want to go to. So, I think this should be continued at this school in the future and I am having a good experience here at TJ Owen's Gilroy Early College Academy.

As a recently graduated student from GECA, the school is overhyped. GECA may have been better in the past, but it has gone downhill in the time I have attended it. The classes were challenging at first, but the rigor and intensity of the classes have been easily influenced and changed by the whines...

Having attended GECA has aided my progression in life immensely: it prepared me for attending university by accustoming me to college classes and the type of expectations college-level courses and professors demand. This allowed me to graduate from a highly-ranked university a year early and has set...

Our son is in his third year at GECA and we couldn't be more pleased with the school. He is free to grow and learn in an environment free from the pressures of bullying, cliques, negative peer pressure, burned out teachers and disruptive classmates who don't care about their education. The classes a...

I attended and graduated from this program. I entered a year late but was able to get my AS a semester after graduatin. Academically, this school is intense and obviously top-notch. I have to award this school for how far I've been able to go with my education. Don't discount the toll it can take on...
