GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Sabine High School is a school that is committed to its students. Although it may not have many resources the faculty truly cared about the students and wanted them to succeed. A couple changes I would make around the school is to allow students more college readiness and club opportunities. I feel as if this school is lacking in our ability to help students not only while they are here, but to prepare them for their futures.

During my 4 years of high school I experienced many highs and lows. Most of the time I felt like there was no one in the school to help me solve those lows. Some teachers cared for the students, but many were just there because they were just getting paid. Where I felt most at home though was playing sports. Everyone was so welcoming and I enjoyed every bit of my athletics.

Overall my experience has been okay. There have been some instances where I felt the student body was not being listened to or not treated how we should be but other than that it's been fine. The students are a different story. There are many entitled kids that love making fun of other for no reason and it seems like no one really does anything about it.

I respect the teachers and staff tremendously. Secure campus, on site security at gate and in school. Great students.
