At gorham high school I have had a very interesting career. The school itself has been very good for me and I have enjoyed my time. Although the teacher aren't personable and aren't as understanding as they should be. As a very busy athlete and working a job, my work load and homework situation was always very overwhelming. The teachers did not understand the importance of spending time with family and doing other things in our free time and I really never had time for it. It was very depressing and hard for me. But at the same time I don't think I learned enough. All of my assignments were busy work and meaningless assignments. Yes, it taught me how to manage my time and kept me from going to sporting events but it wasn't helpful for my future. Overall I am overwhelmed to go to college because of the lack of information and the brief lessons I have learned throughout my four years. After freshman year I don't think I learned one thing in a science class during the next 3 years.

MY ONLY WISH FOR CHANGE IN THE GORHAM SCHOOL DEPARTMENT IS..... WE MUST FIND A WAY TO CHANGE/FACILITATE/PRIORITIZE, IDK, SOMEHOW LOCK DOWN THE FUNDING NEEDED FOR THEIR SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT. IN GENERAL, AS A WHOLE, IT HAS BEEN A TREMENDOUS BREATH OF FRESH AIR FOR BOTH MY NEURODIVERGENT SON AND MYSELF AS WELL. IT WAS A TREAT CELEBRATING ALL THE VICTORIES LAST YEAR BROUGH US BEING ENROLLED IN THE KHATADIN PROGRAM FOR HIS 8TH GRADE YEAR. THROUGHOUT 8TH GRADE HE MADE STRIDES AND CONQUERED EVERYTHING IN HIS PATH WITH LITTLE TO NO STRESS & ANXIETY FOR HIM. BUT SADLY GORHAM'S SPECIAL EDUCATION ISN'T FUNDED AS IT SHOULD BE, I FEEL, SO 9-12TH GRADERS ARE NOT OFFERED THE KHATADIN PROGRAM. AND IT BREAKS MY HEART. I WATCHED HIM THRIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME. WINDHAM HIGH SCHOOL ALSO HAS THE PROGRAM FOR 8-12TH GRADERS AND IT'S A BEAUTIFUL & SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM FUNDED IN THEIR SPECIAL EDUCATION DEPT. SEEMS LIKE A TRAGEDY. WE. WANT. KHATADIN. BACK. AT. G.H.S!!!!

Pretty good school. Good teachers mostly. Athletics are great, but need to be kept in check more. They get away w/ anything.

My Jordan thrives there and at the Windham school she was quite and a loner. Now she is on the basket ball team and has lots of friends. I don't know what you did but thank you Sheri Scarpa

Gorham High is an wonderful school. Which have, I believe some of the best History teachers in the state. I'm a Junior, and time has flown by. We have an outstanding athletic program, academic, and art program. Our school has been recognized for many accomplishments in those areas. We really do have...
