I started at West Middle School when I was in the 7th grade and I'm in the 8th now. West opened me up to brand new things I'd never even heard about before and I loved it way more than my old school. West truly was a life changer for me and it opened me up to bigger learning opportunities. The principal is very kind and helpful but certain administrators and teachers can be snappy, tone-wise.

I would rate it a two some of their classes are neat but as far as teaching respect kindness manners empathy compassion and any kind of discipline action against students who are bullying is non-existent very disappointing

If your child has special needs, good luck on getting appropriate IEP. The schools is a big bully. There are staff that are awesome, but they are few. Special education teachers and social workers need additional training in ADHD and autism. The school does not really want to give out any type of se...

The schools response is calling suspending the child, sending home rude letters for missed time, and the latest calling CPS because our child must be acting out due to "Household Problems".
