Coit Creative Arts Academy (Coit) offers social, creative arts, and academic learning opportunities in an inquiry-based curriculum to students from Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade. It also offers the Primary Years Programme as an authorized International Baccalaureate World School.
Located in the southern end of the distinctive Belknap Lookout community, Coit Creative Arts Academy is just south of Coit Park and near the historic stairs on Division Avenue. You can find the school off Fairbanks Street Northeast and Livingston Avenue Northeast.
With approximately one teacher for every 13 students and total school size of about 240 students, Coit offers the class sizes children need to work closely with trained teacher support. The school’s goal is to inspire creative, original, inquisitive, and talented students through visual arts, music, movement, dance and other creative expressions.
As a key aspect of this thriving locality, Coit offers Belknap Lookout residents unique opportunities. Students participate in community cleanup days and other outreach events to give back to the Belknap Lookout neighborhood. The academy also promotes Artists of the Week through social media to celebrate student art and expression.

I rate the school a 5/5 its a positive school who deserves to be acknowledged for the strives they are making. The test scores are good I don't understand how it gets a low rating.

The music and art program, in my opinion, was excellent, but I don't have very fond memories of this place because of all the bullying that went on.

I wish i would have enroll my two kids two years ago. (3rd & 1st graders) I luv this school. Im a very picky parent and to see the glow on my kids face everyday and improvement in their learning is very awarding to me. So many activities and ways of learning with art is very important to this family...
