Founded in 1972 by George Berends, NorthPointe Christian School is a private Christian school located at Leonard Street Northeast in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The school serves over 300 students in grades prekindergarten through 12th. NorthPointe charges yearly tuition to students but offers several programs to help offset the cost of attendance.
The school is known for offering differentiated learning to its students based on their interests. Nature-based learning is an integral part of the culture at NorthPointe Christian School starting in pre-K, and for those who chose it, Spanish language immersion is implemented from the first day of classes.
In association with West Michigan homeschooled students, NorthPointe also offers a Home and School Hybrid Program that allows students in kindergarten through eighth grade to spend two days per week in the classroom and the remaining days learning at home. NorthPointe students can be part of the OK Conference Silver Division of Michigan athletics including football, track and field, baseball, bowling, golf and more.
Northpointe Christian School has become a strong component of education in the Creston area of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Following graduation, NorthPointe has an average of 85% of its students going on to a four-year college.

The overall environment of this school is toxic at best if you show any variation in opinions. The “what we believe” on the school website shows itself in the community and promotes certain ideas that can harm the mental health of students who may not be able to conform to the schools beliefs.
