GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The environment is really great here. Everyone has great school spirit and it just makes going to school better. The sports here are also really good. We always get a good student section at every event. Our teams perform good as well. Although it's hard sometimes to get different parties included in events. So I would like to see more ideas of involvement for those groups.

Grand Rapids high school has a wider selection of classes than I had gotten at my previous school. Majority of the teachers here are passionate about the students and the curriculum they're teaching, which makes learning from them a lot more interesting. Due to budget cuts we are currently losing many amazing teachers, making it a little less exciting to look at future years here.
