The mission of Grandville South Elementary School is to improve lives “by producing successful, lifelong learners.” The school is located on Navaho Street in the beautiful Grandville Lakes neighborhood of Grandville, Michigan. Approximately 400 students attend this public school with a student-teacher ratio of 16-to-one, giving students ample opportunities with their teachers and peers from kindergarten through sixth grade. Treehouse Child Care offers before-school childcare services at South Elementary. For after-school care, students are transported to Central Elementary. Students can be enrolled in before school, after school, or both programs for additional educational and social opportunities. The Grandville Elementary curriculum incorporates social-emotional learning for students of all grades. Social-emotional learning coaches assist students in maintaining relationships, communicating feelings and solving problems in emotionally healthy ways. Used to be better before Darla England became principal. The school atmosphere is far less warm and welcoming since she began. All she cares about it getting on the news because South has a comfort dog, but I don't feel like she really connects with the students.

My experience at South has been EXTREMELY positive. I find the teachers friendly, approachable and quite capable. We have had 2 girls go through this system and have been very pleased.
