GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think the best part of my high school experience were the people I was surrounded by. Granite Falls is a small town and everyone knew everyone. I loved having friends in all my classes, having long-time sport rivals, and growing up with these people each year. The worst part about the school would have to the culture and how far it was from everything else.

It is a very small school in a small town, but it is getting bigger due to the construction of new houses around the school.

My daughter was new to this area in 2021 and started 9th grade at gfhs. She has been doing great and is on the honor roll with a 4.0. She has had the help she needs with studies and homework. Best grades shes ever had here then any other school she has gone to. She likes it there.

Overall, I am surprised. I see the poor ratings and that has not been our experience at all. I am especially impressed by the Running Start and Sno-Isle technical programs that are offered. Students can actually get what they need to get a jump on their careers! I wish I would have had that when I w...
