In my opinion Bear River is the least accepting and inclusive school ever. There is no diversity on campus and if you are a person of color or a member of the lgtbq community you are bullied, harassed, and treated very poorly by the staff at the school.

This high school is overall pretty good. It is a very safe school and they have a lot of rules which can be good and bad. They have great lunch and menu options. A lot of the teachers are really good. You're not allowed to leave the campus though during school.

There's only 4 black kids there for a reason. Racist administration and prejudice/racist teachers and some kids. Definitely not 22% diversity. 95+% white very rural school. The POC kids get disciplined way harsher than the white kids. The academics are average. Kids don't go to this school to get into Stanford.

If you are looking for a smaller public high school (+/—700 students) in Nevada County with teachers and administrators who genuinely care and often get to know the kids by name. Students graduate from BRHS with real skills they can use immediately in either the workforce or to go on to college, Bea...

Bear River is a smaller school but has so many opportunities for students to get involved and be part of the community. Their course offerings are robust and the staff is helpful and truly cares about the students. The administrators support the school rules and when they know about a situation wher...

Bear River High School has an excellent music program that has become extremely successful over the years. It changes the lives of its students for the better, and provides a great experience that cannot be found anywhere else in the school. While the athletics program is far over-glorified, it over...
