With a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains, West Middle School is situated in the Cherry Hills Village and serves students in sixth through eighth grade. The school is a part of the Cherry Creek School District, one of the most highly rated public school districts in Colorado.
The West Middle School lives by a mission statement of maintaining excellence and opportunity, support and collaboration and sincerity and inspiration. The school offers a variety of athletics, after-school activities and clubs and encourages students to pursue their interests and passions through these extracurricular offerings. It believes that the more involved students are with their school, the better they will achieve their goals.
An illustration of this belief can be found in the school's Innovation Space in the library. The open and inviting space is designed to develop collaboration, problem-solving, curiosity and inquiry skills. West Middle School's Student Advisory Team played a large role in creating this space's vision and overall design.
Along with a wildcat, the West Middle School mascot, four words appear on the school crest: citizenship, achievement, respect and equity. Following this model, school leadership strives to provide students with engaging and rigorous academic experiences to help them reach their potential and become lifelong learners.

Aggressive bullies and no staff protection for children who are victims of bullies. Lack of teacher and counselor involvement to prevent bad behaviors. Lack of staff training to help set an environment which prevents harmful student acting out against other students.

Most of the teachers are amazing! Bullying isn't dealt well but overall it is an amazing school. (we don't have the best food so I would recommend bringing your own lunch.)
