GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I loved the robotics team, but it is not supported by the school. I feel that sports and performing arts extracurriculars are well funded, but STEM is not. There are also not a lot of classes for technology-related fields.

For an underfunded public high school, not bad. Most staff are kind and invested in their students success. Music program is very good for what resources are available.

At this school, there are a lot of really good teachers who care about their students and whether or not their students succeed. Of course, it's also still a public school, so the school lunches aren't that amazing and the bathrooms are tolerable at best, but all things considered, it's an alright place. The people are for sure the best part, though.

However, in my time at the HS l I have seen students on Twitter, Facebook, Minecraft, Netflix, Pinterest and ev...

Grinnell schools are great if you are an average to intelligent kid, or great at a sport or an extracurricular. Not a lot of thought is given to anything outside the box, but that seems to be an Iowan trait. It's important to conform here and fit in. If you don't, good luck. There's a divide between...

I really like GHS. The sports are fun, and include everybody. Not to mention the Boys Cross Country team has been to state 4 years in a row. This school has excellent teachers, and a good educational program.
