I moved to West Harrison my junior year, at first, I didn't enjoy it there. I wanted to go back to Long Beach, eventually I decided I wanted to drop out. I went to my counselor, and she did everything in her power to make my experience better and convinced me not to drop out. She told me that I qualified for early graduation. I went from wanting to drop out of high school to graduating a year early and knowing what I wanted to do with my life with in the 4 months that I've been at West Harrison.

Ive been at West Harrison for 4 years and we've had 3 different principals. It really depends on whos leading the school to determine how good it is. Either way during my time here we've been #1 or #2 in the state and most of the teachers care a lot about your success. The counselors are also so great helping you to determine life after highschool.

My experience at West Harrison High School was amazing. I had a unique circumstances because I moved out at 17 and also graduated a year early. The staff in this school district has always been extremely enthusiastic and happy to help. Even going out of their way to make sure that I was taken care of while I was a student and even after I left.

Anybody who tells you this school is great is half correct. They don't, however, tell you the dark side of it. The Harrison County District is pretty good, don't get me wrong. Keep doing your job.
