Halstead is a very inclusive school. Everyone is really close to each other. Though there are not as many career related classes to help you figure out what you want to do.

My absolute favorite thing about my experience at halstead has to be the teachers staff. Always very friendly and willing to help, and make certain classes that would usually be very boring, much more fun and enjoyable. The sports and school spirit is also something I like.

There are a lot of sports for a school this size. That's it. There are a lot of sports. The school is very small, so there are small class sizes as well. The school food is alright. Teachers might be the best part of the school.

I graduated from this school in 2002 and I have 3 kids now going to school in the Halstead district. I LOVE USD 440. The teachers know all the students and have a real connection with them. Halstead is a smaller school but had so much to offer. I can't say enough about what an amazing school it trul...
