At Hamden High School, the ceiling tiles are falling and leaky, and select staff are rude. Although the student body is diverse, the student culture is often disrespectful to each other and not very welcoming. Counselors are horrible and don't help with any college prep or help with the classes you need to graduate on the bright side, we have a lot of clubs that have helped me meet so many people, and sports that have opened my eyes to new ideas and so many diverse classes to fit everyone's hobbies.

Hamden High School is the best high school I could've gone to. Hamden High School has seen me through ups and down. Hamden High school has made the person I am today. It is very good school with students from all parts of the world which influences the diversity. We have a community that comes together to provide resources for the students. The students are intelligent and insightful, I learn something new everyday from the people around me. Even on the days I don't feel like coming to school, I think about all the fun and excitement that comes with being around my friends and other students too. Hamden High School has been a place of growth for me and I am always forever grateful for being able to attend this school.

I was in orchestra all four years, and can confidently say that we have a wonderful music program. I hope that in the future this school is able to receive more funding for the marching band specifically, because we could use some new/refurbished mallet instruments.

What is the point of going to this school even there is more high school near Hamden? Some teachers act like they are children. Also, they are doing a "say something" campaign but never works they just doing it for performance. I don't feel safe in school.

Hamden High provides not only a great education to all but also to those kids who are looking for something extra, be it sports, band or orchestra, drama, etc. Many dedicated teachers and staff too! Our three kids attended and all were well prepared for college and beyond.

Hamden High is wonderful. We could not ask for a better high school for our children. If you want academics, HH has them. Great clubs? Check. Sports? check. Want your child to learn to understand people who are different from him or herself? Check. Hamden High is a very special place. If you're luck...

We have had a wonderful experience at Hamden High- it's truly a hidden gem. Our son transitioned from a very small, private school to this high school, and he has been so happy here. The academics are terrific, at least in the high level classes. The teachers have been engaging, supportive and accom...
