Teachers are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they teach. Academic climate can get intense but students graduate very prepared for a college course load.

Hanover is undoubtedly a challenging and competitive school providing many opportunities and college readiness. The teachers and coaches are dedicated, and I have had a great overall experience at this school. One area of improvement is the culture of the students at the school, who tend not to be the most inclusive or understanding of people who are different than the rich white kid norm.

Coming to Hanover High from another high school gave me a good perspective on all the good things about the school. It comes with a lot of great benefits like the Hanover community, opportunities, and college readiness. Things the school can work on are support for the middle class student and social life/bullying/diversity. I do believe, however, that every school has those struggles.

We relocated to the area a few years ago and our oldest daughter is not at the HHS. She loves it. The teachers are excellent. We have had no problems or issues at all, and we can highly recommend this school.

I’ve had two children with very different personalities and aptitudes graduate from HHS. They both came out very prepared and, in fact, graduated from college after four years of hard work and success. As with any school, some HHS teachers were stronger than others.
