While I enjoyed the small class sizes and teachers who cared, Kootenai limited my opportunities post graduation. I wasn't prepared to take on the challenges of college, because I never learned to study, write a research essay, or take a challenging test. Its a close knit, rural school, and that works for some people, but it truly held me back in the end.

There are three excellent teachers, a few average teachers, and one behemoth of a teacher whom no one ever wanted to take classes from. Teaching styles vary greatly, as do grading practices, which can sometimes be a bit detrimental, as these teachers tend to be stuck in one way of teaching.
