The only courses worth taking were the AP ones. The general courses were lacking in substance, leaving students sitting there with nothing to do. Teachers were very kind, none were downright awful. Students were lacking in good character... I have horror stories.

pep rally's are one of the best experiences at Sparkman high, the environment is electric and exemplary. I wish the food was better, as it is sometimes not very appetizing, but overall the school is good.

Its like the basic high school you would go to, except the teachers are very jumpy. Fights are common, and the teachers aren't all that great, a prime example is the teacher that got arrested for being drunk on the job. However, theres a couple amazing teachers there that have truly made high school worth it. The band is amazing, both culturally and just what it can do, winning best in the state 2024 and breaking records for Alabama high schools.

As a current student at this school, I feel unsafe, like walking through a prison, metal detectors that don't do anything, as people still sneak in blades and vapes, or pens, the random k9 searches don't do anything either, and we have been in lockdown mode 2 times already this year, thankfully both...

I would rate this school a o star but it was required to fill out that part, but anyway this school is a waste of time they dont care for your kids and just work for their paychecks bad school

The school's administration does not provide a safe environment for the children nor do they care about the well-being of individual students. They will mistreat a child or make them seem like a problem because they have a mental health issue.
