The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Hayfork High School is a very small school with a population ranging from 85-100 students. Overall a friendly student population. There is a lack of opportunity when it comes to the variety of education programs (ex. no theater or music education). Many of the facility members are underpaid and are forced to wear many hats. The school is also severely understaffed.

I'm going to be honest. My high school is not a good place. There are almost no opportunities to progress your future goals. The faculty is few, and some are undesirable people in the workplace. It only offers four sports that struggle to find a coach each year. My experience here has been subpar and my goal is to get as far away as possible.

It's been an experience, I wouldn't be where I am right now if it weren't for going to Hayfork High. The teachers are somewhat nice, some know how to teach very very well, some are new and learning.
