GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Generally, at Hays High, there is lots of encouragement when it comes to college preparation. Between the numbers of college classes offered for concurrent credit through Fort Hays State University and Fort Hays Tech and the teachers teaching the classes, I feel especially ready for college. However, sometimes the lunch isn't the best. I may just be picky, but that is what I've seen based on my experiences.

I do really admire the school, I think that through my past 4 years as a student I have never had any issues within school. I greatly appreciate how they do care for us and want us to be better in what we do.

No mindset Mondays. I find them tedious and boring. Most of us are going to find the lessons they are trying to teach on our own. We all know that the having a dream and plan is a good thing or no worrying about what others think is better than worrying. We will all learn those lesson out in the real world better than over a cringy video that's laced with fake positivity.

Terrible, I regularly see students verbally attack several other students in the classroom while the teacher does nothing. In the worst case he joined in and threatened to attack a student who was only asking for clarification on an assignment.
