it's overall a great school, I would say the athletics should get more appreciated , but it's great and everyone is super close.

My name is Nicholas Hunter I am currently a Senior and also in my 2nd year of Culinary Technical School. I participated in 4 years of Varsity Football as Captain and also received other awards. I have spent my entire educational career in the Hazel Park School District. The district actually nominated me for an award i received last year , I received a youth recognition award from the State of Michigan.

For over a decade, 100% of schools in Hazel Park have been rated below average according to state data. Why is there no intervention from the state or change in central office and building leadership? Our students deserve better. The district is failing generations of students.

I've had three children attend schools in this district all of their academic lives (2 have since graduated). Older child was a stellar student, no problems with teachers or administration. Middle child managed to get through to graduation but by no means with any help from the counselors, teachers...

I've been in Hazel Parks schools since I was a little kid. I could sit here and say such mean things about it like everyone else but there's nothing mean to say about it. Of course every school has a couple flaws and a couple students that don't try their hardest but the teachers at Hazel Park High...

I enrolled here awhile ago and I will say that this is a pretty good school. In my experience, there's not a lot of bullying, the teachers are decent, but the best part of it is the band program, it's way above the one at my old school.
