GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Hector High School has been great. I am involved with many clubs and activities. We have the best ways to connect with our faculty and classmates. We have an annual kickball and dodgeball tournament. I love it here. Everyone is always welcoming and kind. The teachers are very focused on our education and very helpful when you're struggling. Our school has spent a great deal of money over the past two year renovating for safety and to keep up with state of the art equipment. There is a place for everyone at Hector. One thing I would like to see change is diversity. We do get foreign exchange students some years but I would like a permanent diverse culture at my school.

Hector High School is more involved and proud of the sports. Athletes are treated specially and the others, such as those in the music programs and art programs are not. Funding goes more to the sports and technology that isn't even used by most of those who don't even need them. We have maybe two t...
