GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think O'Connor has the potential to be a good school and most of the people and teacher really do want to see the kids become great, but the lack of effort from some teachers can make the learning environment not fun and frankly hard to learn. Most of the people are sweet and as a member of the O'Connor cheer team I get to see how things run from that perspective. Overall O'Connor is a good school acdemic wise, but when it comes to socially I think it could use some work.

The best experiences I have with academics is being able to embrace the writer in my Ap english class. I absolutely love my Ap psychology class for academics. The best part is that the community I found within my varsity choir program and the girls track team. I rarely had any cases that made my O'Connor High School experience the worse, If it was anything but peachy, it was just friend drama from freshman year.

The school is pretty big for a high school and we do have barns on campus so it is nice to see the animals. I enjoyed having to walk outdoors to class to get some fresh air. The food was not great. There was also some bullying instances but overall not a bad school.

The teachers don’t seem to care if the students learn or retain information. Everything is staar test centered (like most of Texas). Male students are often not spoken to if their behavior is poor whereas female students seem overly punished for the same behaviors. This also includes drug activity o...

Let me start off with I am a huge supporter of public education, our teachers and give a lot of second, third, fourth chances. Texas schools are a 3rd world country so if you're up north or east, stay.O'Connor administration is weak, biased, and it's not pro-student, at all. They are pro-funding and...

I had two daughters attend O'Connor High School and both went on to obtain higher degrees. They were well prepared for college and the academic competition they had to endure to excel. I am very pleased they were so well prepared. O'Connor provides a good overall high school experience with many add...

If you child has special needs they allow coaches to look over them these coaches think it is ok to bully and even touch the kids to cause a reaction, I have video and voice on file. If your child tell you about the issue they will believe they coach and not your child. I will be talking to parents...
