The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Highland High has great teachers and activities, but facilities and support can be lacking at times.

Highland High School is a great school and community when we talk about the staff and teachers. I mean every school has their drama with the students. I say the staff handles drama and problems pretty well but they can do more. My best part of High school was the teachers and how much they understood and weren't super hard on me when it came to me falling behind or getting too stressed out. The worst part is that our school town suffered from the referendum not passing and lost 12 teachers in one year.

Enjoyed most of my time throughout my four years, but it was not always perfect. I made many friends and was able to grow as a person through the help of the facility and my peers.

My son went here for all 4 years of high school and was accepted into a great university. The AP classes helped prepare him for his SAT and college classes. My daughter is a current student, getting good grades, and is involved in many activities.
