GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Typically, if there is any kind of bullying or personal safety problem in our school, word gets around and usually ends up under a teachers discretion. There have been many accounts where the problem was taken directly to the principle and he handles the problem first hand. Being a small school, the students who cause the most trouble are known because everyone knows everyone. I know we have a school insurance policy available to all students.

There are a few activities that anyone is welcome to join. But having so few students enrolled, to make a extracurricular activity function, many of the same students are in every activity. Being so, it is hard to have a ton of activity in every club because many of the same students would get burned out.

The Highland School District loves its sports. Again, many students participate in them. We are about average in ability. Everyone supports everything and attends many activities.
