GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I don't think they push their students hard enough educationally. Sports was a big deal to my daughter and their sport program was lacking and they don't card enough to fix it.

Highlands Ranch High School has predominantly strong and kind educators who are passionate about what they teach. I've found that a lot of the teachers truly care about student success as well as their students' mental health. The student spirit is also fairly strong throughout all grade levels. The issue I mostly had with high school was the students that were disrespectful, but I'm sure that those are found everywhere.

My daughter had a very bad experience at this school. She was not challenged at all and got a 3.9 GOA without even trying. She felt that most of her teachers (other than two) were lazy, doing the absolute bare bare minimum necessary to get by. The environment of the girls basketball team is nasty an...

Struggled with mental health and that awfully rude woman at the counseling desk wouldn't let me talk to a counselor. I am severely disappointed to say the least. This school preaches that it's a safe space and that you can get help if you need it, but they have let me and others down time and time a...
