Hill City did not prepare me whatsoever for college, they did not want me to attend PESO. Teachers were rude, mean, and not supportive.

A lot of teachers are leaving for better jobs, I don't blame them. But because of them leaving the school no longer has a business program, we have half of the science classes we used to, hardly any art classes, and just no electives besides shop. It's pretty hard to go 4 years and not have to take the same classes over again. The school is pushing for students to take online courses so they don't have to hire new teachers, but only about 3 students per grade can handle having to work on their own without supervision. No one has prepared me at all for college or even for applying, let alone the ACT. Students treat everything like a joke but its hard not to when the learning environment is treated like a joke by the staff. Classes are so small that there's no way to push the kids who could be at a higher level, besides online classes. The only options for college credit are a handful of online classes. If you don't plan on being successful, then by all means attend Hill City.
