Very hit or miss school. Some teachers are wonderful, some are disengaged. Many students act out, but many are respectful. The building is fine. If you do look for resources though, there's more than you'd think.

I fear for my child safety not enough teachers one class they're literally teaching themselves on the computer with a teachers aid watching them. Kids have guns!! I truly feared for my child safety. They need a lot of work they need a lot more resources. The children are not learning anything and I mean anything very very sad

i currently go to this school, so this is just my honest experience. it’s not some chaotic place where fights are happening all the time. it’s a regular public high school in the chicago suburbs. you’re not going to get anything fancy, but it’s also not as bad as some reviews make it seem. i’m going...

As a former student, I would not recommend Proviso West at all. Fights break out every day. Teachers who don't teach, but are afraid of the students. A battle zone is what best describes Proviso West. I remember being excited to be going there, that, unfortunately only lasted 1 week. Lunchtime is an...

This is not a good school. Unfortunately I must say it’s the students. Their lack of care towards their education and environment leads to the teachers to care less and you can see it everyday. Don’t get me started on the drug problem.

Lunch lady's are rude when ordering food. The food was horrible by the way. Kids fight nonstop for fun some things can lead to death or serious injury. This is not a school. It's a prison
