Hoboken Middle School students have received accolades in local, state and national competitions for their academic excellence across all subjects. The school builds a foundation around an educational experience comprising of the four A’s – academics, arts, athletics and activities. Developing a curriculum that stimulates the mind and offers personal growth and enrichment, Hoboken Middle hopes to build on each child’s aspirations and prepare them for their future.
The school is recognized as a Common Sense School based on its digital citizenship. Common Sense, a national nonprofit organization, is dedicated to helping kids and parents thrive in a world of media and technology by using research-based resources to teach real-life issues like internet safety, cyberbullying and privacy issues.
The school has also adopted an after-school enrichment program called Passport to Learning and Wellness that offers academic support and incorporates the importance of a balanced life through wellness initiatives and sports.

This was our first year in the middle school and our family (my son is in 6th grade) has had a really positive experience. It was the first year that the school moved 6th graders into the middle school so there were some growing pains, but throughout it all, my son experienced engaged and caring teachers who truly wanted him to succeed.

Just graduated and I am more adademically driven but I saw a lot of students that were struggling either socially or academically and they didn’t get enough support.Also this is minor but I was behind in my high school science track because we learned the same 4 topics every year at HMS.
