The campus is one of two operated by the school, with the other being found on Elysian Fields Avenue. That elementary facility was added to Holy Cross School in 2015, while the middle and high school campus currently occupied on Paris Avenue was moved into in 2010. The roots of the school, however, go much deeper than that. It was founded in 1849 by the Congregation of the Holy Cross and has been part of the New Orleans community for well over 170 years. Holy Cross School enrolls over 1,100 students and has a student-to-teacher ratio of 15–to-1, which helps keep class sizes small so everyone can receive one-on-one time with the teacher. This strategy seems to work as 82% of graduates continue on to a four-year university. The school encourages students to have experiences outside academics, so it offers a full fine arts curriculum including chorus, drama and band. The athletic program is made up of over a dozen competitive teams such as swimming, golf, bowling and track and field.

Started Holy Cross in 5th Grade--only knew one boy in my class. By the end of the first week of school I felt I was with family. Brotherhood between the students is second to none. I played sports from 5th Grade to Graduation. I earned the respect of my teammates and was named one of the Captain's of the football team. Best experience was making a run in the football playoffs my senior year.

I have huge respect for gay people and this school does not. I would love to see this school incorporate a sexuality defense program and gender fluidity association club (GFAC). Other than that the school messy and bad. I was mistreated as a person with conflicting sexuality's.
