my experience at HNHS has definite been a journey. the biggest pull is the wonderful STEM and arts teachers as they care so much about the students. aside from that and the wonderful lunch and custodial staff + about 40% of the students I wouldn't waste my time. the admin cares more about their image then helping the students and will protect the teachers and their racist remakes above the students input and comfortably. it is also not worth the money.

Holy Names High School is a good choice for education if you're looking to just study and get out. There isn't much school spirit, but what the school does provides amazing opportunities for students to connect. I highly recommend participating in these activities as these instances are where you'll build friendships that last a lifetime. I found people here that I now consider family. So, no there won't be football games every Friday (we are invited to local school's games), but you will meet the best of friends here. If you decide to join any type of leadership, be prepared for a lot of pushback, we have nuns here and traditions are strong. Some good (Junior ring, Kairos) some bad (strict uniform, hard to fundraise), just make the best of your time here with the people you meet. My four years were great here and although I wish some things had been different, I don't regret my choice of attending this institution. I met lifelong mentors, friends, and gained tons of confidence.

HNHS is a small Catholic all girls school that empowers the girls to speak up and stand up for justice. Many girls come in timid and shy, but leave confident and with a voice.
