I started Holy Spirit a month into my junior year and didn't have many expectations going into it. After a year of being there I've learned that they take pride in their athletes and their performers. They push them to the next level to bring about their best possible performance and help them through the journey.

When Holy Spirit was run by the Sisters of Mercy and the Jesuits priests it was a great school Sadly, the enrollment has decreased and most teachers are lay .

Since 1922, many people have walked the HSHS halls and still now show their Spartan pride. The sports teams continue to win championships and the arts program has a lot of incredible talent. The smaller student-teacher ratio is very helpful because teachers are always there for you. Also, being a Catholic school gives you that different perspective than a public school.

It is very hard to find friends because people are exclusive. I believed that academically, they go easy on you which isn't...

Well, having read the review--from parents and students--I thought it time to write one myself. I retired from HSHS in March 2010 having had the good fortune to have been part of the Spirit Family for 13 years. I saw the kids from three different perspectives. 1)Principal's secretary; 2)Guidance sec...
