GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Holyoke High School was poor although the staff was very kind and appear accepting, it was all false. If you are a newcomer to that school they sadly leave you out of the picture unless you bring yourself into the picture. They put so much focus on the troubled kids rather than the kids who enjoy showing up every day and are ready to be successful. In conclusion, I wouldn't accept this school as a choice if your child is actually interested in learning and engaging in the materials/lesson.

I had a rough time in high school. I was not the best student & was always in trouble. Three years later I am a senior & making very hard decisions. HHS made me into the person I am today. There is teachers at HHS that will not only teach you but actually care about you. They care for you mental & physical health. There is clubs that give you amazing opportunities. These opportunities are in Holyoke & out of Holyoke like Boston. You can take early college classes which I took. Even though HHS has downfalls, your four years are going to be amazing. You will make amazing friends, meet important/great people, & have fun. I made huge mistakes my first three years but even if you are late to make some changes the staff will 100% help you. I got a taste of Ethnic Studies, LGBTQ+ history & many more. All the things I have learned I will and am going to be using for the rest of my life. I will never forget my years of high school because I met amazing people who will be in my life forever.
