GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As a sophomore at Homer Senior High I understand what goes into becoming a "good" school, Homer is an academically outstanding school, Homer also has a zero bullying policy, making your life at Homer fun, as compared to other schools that don't care. Although, Homer doesn't have pep-rallies as others schools do.

I liked that most teachers were welcoming and happy to help you succeed but some can always say they want to help you but don't actually show that they want to help.

Homer is a good community and there were many teachers that seemed to really care for the students and to try to help them, there were also teachers that seemed to not be very encouraging and or good at teaching. there were many time when i feel like the state and the mandatory curriculum that was taught was not very good and could be improved on and made more effective for students.

Another quality NY school. Outstanding teachers that make the difference! They have more than prepared my children for college.

Excellent school, went there my entire school career. Bullies are not a problem and are dealt with. Even so most of the time it's part of life and growing up, it shapes who we are as adults. Homer is a great school and if I lived in the area I would send my son.
