The class you have is mainly dependent on the teacher you get and less on the academic intensity of the class. For example, a tough, strict teacher in a regular class might make the class harder than in an advanced class with an average, laidback teacher, which can be detrimental to your grade. The sports and arts are a big part of our school, along with the diversity showcased throughout the students and teachers.

Hoover High School may be diverse but does not have the best teachers. My counselor emailed me over the summer about my schedule being changed because my classes were not offered 0th period and I requested a 0-4th period schedule so she moved me down a period to 1-5th period. I emailed her back saying I couldn't do that because it wold affect my work schedule and gave her alternative options to help me drop a class. All the options I was giving her were manageable but she refused. This innocence made me find another job and it pays less so now I have to work more which gives me less time to focus on my studies.

I loved my time at HHS, I was very involved and I think that's the key to a good High school experience. I was involved in Peer Helpers, JCO, SCO, cheerleading, and other small clubs. The academic opportunities are outstanding. There are great programs that can get you a head start in you career like the Business Program or Nursing program at RC3.

As a student taking all AP, I still have time to participate in extracurriculars, as they have a ton of sports and clubs to participate in. I would...
