GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have gone to West Elk for many years now. It offers so many things for such a small school and the classes are very small and accepting to anyone new to the community. The town as a whole has three very good restaurants and always have something to do whether it's a Friday night football game or just hanging out at Toots.

I have taught at West Elk Schools for thirty-seven years. My two children attended West Elk Schools their entire K-12 experience. It is a great school with awesome teachers. They were prepared well when they went to college. I highly recommended our school!
