How many elementary schools can boast that they have their very own campus pup? Timbers Elementary School kids love Dottie, the campus comfort and therapy poodle. Dottie visits classrooms and allows her human friends to love and pet her to ease their anxiety and provide good vibes. Timbers Elementary serves in the Atascocita community, enrolling 652 students ranging from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade, and has a 14-to-one student-teacher ratio. Since its opening in 1981, Timbers has aimed to provide its students with the tools to excel in a global community and inspire lifelong learners. This is evident as Timbers’ educators foster a Gifted and Talented (GT) program for higher-level learners. Timbers also encourages perfect attendance records with its Pedaling for Perfect Attendance program. Students who achieve this have the chance to win a brand-new bicycle at the end of the school year. The school’s Parent Teacher Organization does its part by hosting a gang of events to raise funds for their kids’ academic success. During the fall, the PTO hosts the Timber Fall Festival, which includes Trunk or Treat. At the event, the community can expect a food truck, yard games, shopping, photo opportunities, and treats.

Is the admin staff leaving the reviews? 5/5? Go look at great school ratings, Timbers isnt such a great school. 6/10 rating... Put it this way, my kids are now in Aldine ISD. I am treated with more respect in Aldine than I ever was by the Principal, VP and her minions. Even getting a copy of my childs record was a nightmare, I had to call the Superintendent. I know several others with issues. Several fantastic teachers, cant make up for the treatment.

This school really cares about the whole child. They are very serious about secruity and safety. They are always teaching about health and how to become a strong indiviudal.

I feared that my 3 year old son was either speech delayed or autistic. Timbers ignored my formal request for evaluation for months. I went to the school to ask about the delay and found out someone had quit and my child’s file was just collecting dust. The principal explained all of this to me in Ti...

Bad experience at Timbers, I could go into details but looks pointless. I see complaints were made before. Scores went up, but principal actually got a promotion to Assistant Superintendent. That is just Wow, what a joke Humble USD is.

I live in Atascocita and daughter has attended since Kinder. Lets just say I withdrew my kids and put them in Aldine ISD (which has 300+more kids mainly spanish speaking) to avoid dealing with these people EVER!Great School rating went from 8 to 6 in a very short time under the new principal. Timbers Elementary has been an outstanding school for my grandson. He started Kindergarten at another school and had many problems. We then moved him to Timbers Elementary in first grade. The principal and assistant principal have worked closely with us and he is blossoming. He had a great teacher,...
