Established in 1969, The Hebrew Academy is a highly rated, private Jewish day school located at 14401 Willow Ln., in Huntington Beach. The oldest Jewish school in Orange County, Hebrew Academy enrolls approximately 310 students and serves preschool through 12th grade. The school sits on 11 acres and its mission is to honor Jewish culture while nurturing students to become independent, passionate learners. Hebrew Academy offers an award-winning dual curriculum of academic excellence featuring core subjects in math, English and science — as well as Judaic and Israel studies in Hebrew. Students learn about Israeli culture and study Judaism, which includes studying text of the Torah and Talmud. Classrooms are equipped with Smart technology and the school boasts advanced science and technology labs. Coding, broadcasting and computer literacy is taught in the school’s state-of- the-art media labs and students start working on laptops beginning in second grade. The school offers a gifted and talented accelerated learning program, as well as college preparatory for high school students. The Academy sponsors an athletic division as well as after school enrichment classes featuring studies in music, visual and performing arts, culinary arts and robotics. Classes are small, shuttle service is provided, and each student receives a free, hot lunch.
