Students will find a high-energy learning environment at Hyde Park Elementary School. Faculty inspires students to succeed by following seven principles based on businessman and author Stephen Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People.” The curriculum is based on the principles of being proactive, planning, valuing hard work, understanding that everyone can win, thinking before speaking, working together and seeking balance. Established in 1950, Hyde Park Elementary School teaches students in third through fifth grade. It is part of the Duval County school system and has more than 200 students. Hyde Park Elementary is next to to Criswell Park, offering children the opportunity to enjoy field sports and playground time in one of the area’s largest parks. Hyde Park Elementary is proud to offer TEAM UP, a free after-school program that encourages both academic and enrichment activities. The three-hour program is available every school day and helps students with homework and then encourages recreational activities including cheerleading, dance, karate and arts and crafts.

My daughter is in Kindergarten and Ms. Wilcox is her teacher. I think this is the best school I have ever been to. I went to the same school when I was little. They have a new Principal which I think is amazing. She communicates with ALL the parents and the students there seemed to be well behaved....
