Bridgeport Elementary School on West Morris Street serves the neighborhood of Chapel Hill-Ben Davis on the west side of Indianapolis. Enrolling around 700 students, Bridgeport Elementary provides a public school education for kindergarteners through sixth grade students and is part of the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township, established in 1962. Bridgeport Elementary School seeks to create an inclusive learning environment that instills a lifelong love of knowledge and sense of empowerment. Designed to motivate collaboration, the curriculum at Bridgeport Elementary is supported by a computer lab with 28 workstations, a professional development lab, video production room, before- & after-school care room, sensory integration room and a media center. Combining a differentiated approach to education with multi-age classrooms and after-school mentoring, Bridgeport Elementary works to ensure the success of each individual student. Rewarding extracurricular activities available to students include 4-H, student council, Girls Who Code, math club, running club and Spell Bowl club. Bridgeport Elementary School's burgundy and silver knights are valiant when it comes to striving for excellence, learning respect for others and making a difference in their community. The school remains committed to leading students towards rewarding middle and high school careers.

The staff is welcoming and go above and beyond to help families. There are times when staff members go in their pockets to purchase Christmas toys and other things for students. Teachers are friendly, many offer opportunities for students to stay after school for extra help.

Bridgeport has a great staff. The teachers work very hard to help all of the children. Several teachers use their personal money to help provide clothes and other things for their students.
